My magick garden apron! I decided that I would start with an apron instead of napkins because I had the idea and design in my head for this particular apron.  I wanted one with a pouch to put clippings from the garden in.  I absolutely LOVE the result!  I'm sure I did every wrong in sewing terms and rules but the result to me is perfect.

I'm so excited to learn more about sewing and use it to help in our homesteading goals.  I felt such pride when I completed this apron... I can't wait to sew more for my family!

Oh yes... I cannot take all the credit... I had help from a certain magickal cat!

I used to do lots of sewing. Over the years when life was more hectic than it is now, I got away from sewing. It was just so much easier and quicker to buy it ready made. Anyway, I traded in my 30+ year old Bernina because it was on its last leg and got a new machine. It has been wonderful because I've rediscovered the joys of sewing. What I really want to say is that my sewing machine dealership offers free sewing classes. They have a sewing club that meets monthly. It's great because I'm getting a refresher on things like putting in zippers and so forth. For the new seamstress like yourself, I think you would really enjoy classes like this. They come up with some fun projects and your apron is adorable!
Love your blog,
Nancy

Hi Nancy! That's a great idea! I'll have to check into my local craft stores! Thanks for reading! :)

We always have our show and tell and this month we had our first completed Stars Galore quilt following our workshop earlier in the year. Pat Cleary showed us her lovely completed quilt. Looking forward to our workshop next month, a miniature quilt with Judith Dursley.
